Austco Environmental Pty Ltd is dedicated to the protection of the environment and continually strives to improve efficiency and to responsibly manage our operations. We understand that each project is different, and always strive to minimise the impact on the environment.
We are at the forefront of managing environmental issues both on and off site and thus the risk management process is tailored to suit the environmental aspects and the level of risk of each project.

Our methodology is based upon the basic processes of:

• Assessment of the current and likely future impact of the environmental aspects.
• Control and risk minimisation of impacts and sustainable improvements.
• Monitoring of environmental performance as a company and individually through project activities and sustainability projects.

• Conducting all operations in accordance with relevant environmental legislation, laws, regulations, obligations and agreements and licences.
• Undertaking an internal self regulatory role, incorporating in-house environmental reviews and audits, to identify, evaluate and manage environmental risks.
• Maintaining an environmental system based on a recognised standard and ensuring effective integration with all other management systems.
• Ensuring all activities including contractor works, are undertaken in compliance with the environmental management system.
• Minimising pollution by optimising efficiency and minimising production of wastes.
• Continually improving environmental performance through the setting, reviewing and achievement of environmental objectives and targets, taking into account developments in technology, scientific understanding and community expectations.
• Promoting an understanding of the working environmental performance and progress in continual improvement.
• Maintaining environmental contingency plans to minimise the impact of unplanned incidents.
• Ensuring that action rectifying non-compliance is carried out with minimum delay.
